Live stream from Curiosity onboard cameras?

Is it possible? It would be nice for popularization of science that everyone, any time could see what Curiosity sees

  1. The data from mars to earth came in a very low rate, many times in black and white and with low ftp/s.Sometimes it take a while to upload a picture.Online other countries can see to,without spending a dime to build the rover.

  2. It's a nice idea! Is it possible to increase data rate from Mars in nearest future?

  3. The rover just doesn't have the hardware for that. Maximum speed is only 12 kbps (compared to several megabits per second speed of a cable modem).

  4. You mean Live stream in HD from mars ?

Would be nice yeaaa, but I would

invest in other instruments or experiments.
